Widget Locker's latest update in the Play Store says they fixed comparability issues with the Note 3! :party:

Yup. Already set up and restored settings! Widgetlocker still kills any lockscreen I attempted using in the interim. Didn't realize just how customizable it is compared to any other launcher. Love having my custom sounds back for lock (super mario bros down pipe) and unlock (metroid door open).

What do you mean by root?
I don't root my Note 3 and I can still install Nova and Go Launcher.

(I bought my Note 3 without contract or such thing)
 
Installing Nova only halted my ability to open the magazine app with a swipe up from the bottom.

I'm so torn up over it, I can hardly type.

Go into the Nova settings and change the swipe up gesture to open Flipboard. Same thing, except it's the actual flipboard app, instead of Samsung's My Magazine. I tried connecting My Magazine, but it won't work with Nova.

Yes. Most of the Samsung widgets can't be used with 3rd party launchers (and the ones that are usable have been reported, on other phones, to not work quite right).

Good thing for me is, I already have my favorite widget apps that I've used since the HTC Evo and most/all of them have "backup" settings, so that I can restore all my customizations.

I was actually able to get it to work with My Magazine. Then I remembered I didn't like it, that it would eventually cause me to delete home screen icons, so I turned it off.

I can tap an icon easier than I can swipe up from the bottom. Much less strenuous too. :p

the swipe gesture on Nova doesn't have to start from the bottom. Much easier to use than Samsung's Touchwiz feature.

Just got it to work. Didn't work the first time I tried. Not sure I care for it compared to flipboard.
