Help Use Mobile Network

Hi i just got HTC desire HD and when i am at home i turn on wifi so it will use my home internet but instead of that apps uses mobile data how do i solve that .....i want like when i came to home it will start to use wifi data automatically not a mobile network without doing any configuration..


Also how do i close background process

Mobile data: I'm sure you could use Tasker to do what you want. Personally I have both wifi and mobile data switched off unless I need them. Look under the settings widgets and you can easily put on/off buttons on screen.

Closing background processes: absolutely NO need to UNLESS one refuses to stop using resources, for which you can use the built-in task manager. Search for threads on task killers to find out the whole reasoning.

Settings>wireless and networks> mobile network - tick "use phone for data connection when wi-fi is unavailable"

I use this and the phone automatically switches over from one to the other when I leave/enter my house.
