Used Droid Under $25?

I'm looking for a 2008-2012 model used Sprint phone. Would like to spend under $25. Looking on ebay.

Would like to be able to install apps and games on it and connect to wifi. And maybe root it or whatever (use some sort of custom firmware).

Is all this possible under $25 for a used phone? Which points above are above my budget? Which phone would you recommend?

At $25 or less you're either going to get:

1. A phone in bad condition - scratched up, battery doesn't hold a charge for long, etc.
2. Or a slower phone that will lag with apps and games.

If you can, look for $50 - $60 used phones. Your options will be much better.

Thanks, Kate. So which phone would you recommend on a $60 budget?

Also, I don't care about lag or condition much, so is there a $25 or maybe a $35 phone you'd also recommend? I could buy a new battery if need be.

It's mostly be for occasional talk and text use.
