There is so much more going on in these new phones; there will always be complaints about battery life.

OK, I know the battery life on these things is going to be short...but c'mon. I had the phone fully charged before I went to bed at 1am with the Ticker on SLEEP. I woke up at 7am to find that it was almost at 50% battery!

Seriously...wtf is draining this thing?!

A quick scan at "Battery Usage" says:
Cell Standby: 29%
Android System: 24%
Phone Idle: 20%

That means at any given time I am screwed because the top three (3) battery hogs are basic system programs?? Wow...how are you guys getting thru the day on these things. Especially if you are out and about shopping or w/e. Holy crap.

Yeh, something's going wrong there.... I go through a full day with fairly heavy usage before I have to charge...

There is definitely something wrong. I can get through the whole day, from about 7:30AM to about 9PM with about 15% left with mostly moderate using. I will stress that I am at school all day with my phone under clocked to 400MHZ. I start using the phone at about 3PM, so yeah. You might wanna try under clocking.

I just picked up a Continuum on Friday and I am amazed at the speed and performance already. (Okay, I had the Droid 1 but I was really attached to it and had it rooted and running a sweet ROM.)

On my first charge, my phone ran from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm the following day - 32 hours on a single charge!!! Big difference from my Droid - I was getting 8-10 hours on a charge.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ticker. On my Droid, I was constantly missing calls and text messages. Now I'm not missing much - I just wish I could get the ticker to flash on occasionally after the initial notification.

Glad to be a part of this forum finally!

I played with it and while It's not something i want to use on a regular basis, it's extremely cute and of course i love it's screen
