Root Using a D1 ROM on incredible

So i use ROM Manager. I saw the lithium ROM and ended up using it thinking it was for incredibles. Yea i noticed that it looked mostly like the D1 screen. I just thought that someone created it so that incredible users can too.

Well I downloaded it flashed it etc etc. There seems to be no problems except that I have HORRIBLE signal strength. My 3g was in and out yesterday. Now its non-exsistent today. Should i blame the ROM? Or look for different scape goats?

lithium is for the incredible....it's a vanilla rom, that's why it looks like the moto droid 1 which is a vanilla phone.
Try *228 to fix your signal or cycle airplane mode.

Fyi: if you were to flash a rom for a different phone, your phone wouldn't even boot up.
Every rom you see in rom manager is for the incredible.

^True Dat. I accidentally downloaded VirusRom for the EVO last night and tried to install it and it aborted installation. I realized my mistake and restored my Virtuous backup.

That's interesting. I know from experience that many D1 *themes* will install and run perfectly on my Dinc, but I've never tried to install a D1 rom on it.

so how my mistake happened was i posted in the Lithium Rom thread and someone had told me that I installed a D1 rom when i shouldnt have. Therefore i thought i made a boo boo that way. But like someone posted, I did put in an INC friendly rom, it just had the vanilla feel.
I ended up putting in a new rom.
Just turns out apparently my signal started to decide to suck badly in my room, coincidently the same night when i installed the lithium rom.
Signal works fine every where else.

@cougar
Your condescending remark is not appreciated.
I hope that when you dabble in something you have very little knowledge about, that someone treats you the same.

bowerman is absolutely right - we were all nubees at one time, and had to learn how things work on an android phone. This forum is a place to get the answers you need, so never hesitate to ask a question. :)
