Help Using a different "From" address on email

Todhunter

Lurker
Hello, on the web I currently send and receive emails using my school-appointed email address (@gatech.edu) throug Gmail. In "Settings > Accounts and Import" I have my @gatech.edu email address set up as my default "Send mail as", and "When receiving a message" is set to "always reply from default address".

I used to have a Blackberry, and was able to send and receive emails using my @gatech.edu account. I just switched to an Android based phone (Samsung Epic 4G, running Android 2.1) and cannot for the life of me figure out how to set up this phone to send emails from my @gatech.edu account. I can still receive emails sent to this account, since it is just forwarded to my @gmail.com account. Nobody that I email knows or uses my @gmail.com account, so when replying or send from my phone, they don't recognize the address. Plus it is a pain on them to have to keep up with two addresses for me.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
