is it bad to use a non samsung charger to charge battery? I have a logitech remote control charger in the living room id like to use as my charger. will that harm the note 2's battery? also does the battery get damaged by charging it when not fully discharged? like if im at 45% and i charge it?
thanks guys!

I LOVE THIS PHONE

I think the Note 2 charger is 2 amps as opposed to 1 like most smartphones (something like that) so it may be slower if you're not using the one that came with it.

So I dont think I can use a non samsung charger. I tried plugging in a non samsung and it keeps beeping so I dont know.

The phone/tablet limits the amount of amperage needed.
So the charger's ability of amperage could be bigger than the phone's/tablet's needing, but should not less.

Quality chargers are protected against overload if a phone/tablet would demand more amperage than the charger would be able to supply.
Neverless, it would be a stress situation for the charger.

I use my wife's iPad charger in the great room all the time with no problems. Also you can't hurt the battery by not running it down all the way as Li-ion does not have a memory effect. In fact for the overall life of the battery, Li-ion prefer to be topped off with partial charges rather than run completely dead repeatedly.

I have serveral different after market chargers not provided by samsung that are working fine. In theory all USB chargers should work but some, made for lower powered devices, aren't effective. The original USB standard did not anticipate devices drawing so much power as some of the phones. I have a car charger with two ports, each labeled 1 amp, that charges my N2 and another current Windows phone effectively. My after market chargers at home and work also seem to be effective. I do notice that sometimes charging is very slow for no apparent reason even with the Samsung charger. It's a situation that comes and goes.

Don't shop chargers strictly on price. Read some reviews on amazon and see what users say about particular devices.

Therer are now AC wall outlets available with built in USB ports. If the prices aren't ridiculous I'm tempted to get a couple and see how they do.

I use 3 different wall chargers for mine with one of them being the Samsung that came with it and the other 2 non-Samsung for when i am traveling and can't tell any difference.

Compared to everything else available N2 is one great phone after 3 months of use!
