Help Using Atrix with Car Stereo

Currently using an Atrix.
The stereo in question is the Kenwood x693.
With using the data cable, I am having problems getting the music to play out of my phone. I have tried every USB connection combo with the debugging on/off. Has anyone else run into the same issue and if so, what can I do to fix this (imo) mammoth sized problem? I did some sort of combo that started playing on the phones internal memory, but I want the music to be played from SD card (thats where 30gbs of my music is).

I do realize I can use the AUX interface, but that would cost extra to go to the local stereo shop to get the cable and get it installed. And besides, the audio is better thru USB.

Thanks!
PS: First Android device. Came from a 3GS. Loving it so far!

i had same question, i have mine working but doesnt always connect, any trick to it or some app/ setting can do. i set it to usb mass storage. then the head unit sometimes said no device, then i unplug/replug and shows drive 2(but no media or music files) then unplug it again and it searches a 3rd time and finds drive 1 the music. i assume drive1/drive2 is the different partitions on the phone?

i am having this same problem ... i have an alpine iva-w200 with the usb interface everything before this phone has worked... tried lots of settings and all i get is no device on my radio .... anyone know any tricks or wanna share there settings they used ? thanks in advance

I'm also trying to research this but not getting very far. I'm not exactly sure what mode I need to be in or how to get there. I have my music on my SD card, and hooked to the stereo via USB its saying 'No device' ... Anyone know what exactly I need to do to make this work?
