Using buttons in Android 3.x

I'v read the typical 4 buttons are not necessary in Android Honeycomp, so devices with this version can be operated using only the screen.

Is it true?

For a car-pc project, I need a device to be fully operated through touchscreen.

You are correct, there are no hard buttons for functions on Honeycomb. There is a power/sleep button, and volume buttons only.
