using charger for other devices?

Hi guys

I have had a flip ultra camcorder for Christmas.will it be safe to use my HTC mains charger to charge it?

Look at the data sheet of your camcorder.
5V and
1A (1000mA) or less is OK

I use my charger for anything that takes a micro usb cable. Phones, satnav etc. Nothing has exploded so far...

it ha, a flip out usb which can slot straight in to the HTC charger without the cable

I use mine for all kinds of things - my Kindle, my satnav, my phone...

I tried to use one of these chargers to charge a Flip once, it went bad, it seems to discharge the Flip to the point where i had to charge it correctly for a very long time before it would come back on. Thought I'd broken in!
As other say I use it for anything that has a microUSB socket for charging (Mainly my Kindle) but be careful with the Flip.

I used mine for my hands free ear piece.. I think I bent it as it slips out of my phone really easily so I'd be careful!
