Help Using Data like Crazy

Got my note several nearly a year ago, and love it.

Then, all of a sudden, I get a SMS from my provider stating that I'm about to go over my data usage limit. I DON'T STREAM ANYTHING. Just normal e-mail and internet usage. But my phone is ALWAYS downloading, and my battery life is plummeting to the point where I have to charge it several times a day to make it through.

I did a factory reset, and it fixed the problem for about a week. Now, it's doing it again.

Device is running KitKat 4.4.2

Any ideas on what the heck is going on?

I have heard several folks say that facebook has a tendency to do evil things to your data and battery life. Perhaps that is your hidden culprit? Have you checked your data usage in settings for a crazy app? Same for battery usage? Something should stand out there besides Play Store and Internet for data and Screen and System for your battery.

Hmmm. It does say that FB is the highest usage. But it comes on all of a sudden. Like I said for a few weeks after the factory reset, all was good, then boom: battery life to crap, running hot, and lots of data.

Make sure to go into your Playstore settings and change the Auto-Update Apps to only over Wifi. This will definitely help with your Data issue.

Facebook has a setting to start streaming automagically, worth looking at.
