Using Friend Stream

I am wanting to try out the Friend Stream option because honestly it's one of the coolest things about the Sense platform to me. Being able to see all my facebook/twitter updates in one place is really convenient. :)

I keep reading that it is a battery drain though so I'm worried about that. Right now I have it set to update every 4 hours- I had every 8 but I found that setting to be almost useless since I could just check everything when I got home.

Those of you who use Friend Stream- does it drain your battery? How do you have the settings?

Friendstream is a nice app. However, it always messes up. Tweetdeck, while lacking in an appealing widget, is just as great. I recommend it more than any other Twitter client.

I have noticed that Friend Stream doesn't always update my facebook correctly. I have thought about keeping it at 4 hours and just manually updating it once in a while. The only thing I dislike is that I have two twitters, so I still have to use a second twitter app for my other account.
I had tweetdeck on my ipod touch, but I just didn't care for the columns and the layout of the app. I may have to take a second look at it if I don't end up caring for friend stream.

I used to have hit or miss success with Friendstream also. Never found it to be much of a battery drain. Switched to LauncherPro plus and the Friends widget works great. Just another option and argument for switching to LP+.

Used to love it, but found it to be useless as new apps have come out. Facebook for Android is nice, and they keep improving it. I do use peep, but only as I want to.
