Using icon pack with rooted phone

On XDA developers they had a .zip with 2.1 icons, but if I try and flash the ziu\p it crashes my phone. Am I uploading it incorrectly?

You dont say how you are uploading it, so I can't answer your question.

I downloaded the .zip file, copied it to my SD card, booted to recovery and flashed the zip. I now have 2.1 icons.

I did the theme flash through Fresh kitchen (maybe not correct) but if I boot from Fresh 1.1 with a custom bootup screen, and I flash the zip this will work?

I tried it last night and it seemed to get stuck on the bootup so I'm a bit scared to go through that again. I will probably do another Nandroid backup then go for it, I just have to figure out how to separate new/old Nandroid backups.

i have not tried that theme on xda that looks like the one i have but its not mine is made by NOJ and will be out soon

THERE WE GO!!

What is annoying is that those posts make it seem like it's NOJ's work, until you load it and it kills your phone...

Wish it was clearer, now I'll have to just be careful and go through the developers directly like you do...

As a warning, I had issues with these, they are not "approved" by Fresh, and they probably aren't the most stable. They may work for you, but I had issues and didn't realize they are more in a "beta" stage, so do a backup first if you're gonna try these.

One thing to notice that 702 pointed out, these are not from Fresh or his team (i.e. NOJ), so if you're looking for specifically Fresh's themes, I apologize this was someone else on a thread who made this separately.

(WTPHOTO from xda I believe made this one, that is where the credit goes)
 
when i first flashed these on my phone i had force closes on everything and no service on reboot ....had to flash a clean version of fresh 1.1 the these icons then my theme back on it and lockscreen and so forth

Which theme are you using? I can get the icons to work fine until I put my theme back on.
 
Flash them as promised with no problems at all. They are definitely nice looking. Can't believe how horrible the Droid Icon pack in the Market is compared to this. Going to go leave negative feedback now.

flash fresh 1.1 over again then flash the icon pack then flash your theme from NOJ then do the boot screen.....reboot the phone after each flash ...it will work that way ...that what i did and its running fine same thing you have fresh 1.1 icon pack expresso theme nexusboot screen and custom lockscreen
