How many of you inspire users are just using the phone right now until the atrix is released?

I'm going to wait for some reviews of the Atrix and I'll play with it at the AT&T store. Then decide if I'm going to return the Inspire.

I was just wondering is all. I am a very impulsive buyer and since I'm still within my 14 day return policy I might get too tempted. I love the inspire by the way. I'm one if those people who switched carriers to get the iphone. I have had each gen. And loved them I gotta say android is much more impressive. But I digress.
I'm not a fan of Motoblur, nor do I want to pay the price tag on the phone. When I said goodbye to my iPhone 4 I also said goodbye to paying high prices for mobile phones that you end up replacing every 1-2 years.
If anything I'll wait for HTC's dual core offering, but honestly right now there doesn't seem to be any significant advantage to dual core other than bragging rights. Give it time, let the software catch up the hardware, and then it will likely also be more affordable/value for your money.

This is too true. I need to know my limits. HTC seems to be dominating the market right now. No doubt they will be coming out with a reasonably priced dual core with sense someday.
Nope inspire through and through
I'm sticking with the Inspire because it does everything I need. I don't need a dock or a dual-core CPU that has no sw optimized for it, meh. The Inspire has a great price, Sense, and can be rooted if I choose, so for me there's no reason to look elsewhere. Besides, going down the "what might be better" road risks being perpetually unhappy, envious, and jealous of whatever's coming out next week. Why go there?

I was originally waiting for the Atrix myself until AT&T and Moto pulled their crap. AT&T requiring a tethering plan to use the laptop was the killer. 
I hadn't heard many good things about the MotoBlur but I figured I could get used to it. But after hearing about the Inspire, it was a no brainer for me. I came from a Nexus One and I'm pretty happy with the Inspire. I think the Atrix is a pretty sweet phone but AT&T shot themselves in the foot with it. So many people jumped ship after the tethering news came out. I like HTC's setup and am planning on sticking with it, looking forward to their dual core offering.

Either I'm getting both or I'll just stay with the Inspire. Initially I was going to do the 30 day test drive until the Atrix gets released but after handling the Inspire, there's no way I'm going to give it up. Hopefully the Atrix wows me just like the Inspire did.
The salesman that sold me my Inspire said he played with an Atrix and since he is upgrading from a Captivate, prefers the Inspire. His impression of the Atrix was that yes, it was fast, but he preferred the "look" of Sense, HTC build quality, and in his opinion, the Inspire felt as fast.

I still want next gen technology. The perfect scenario for me would be using the Inspire as my everyday weekly driver and then using the Atrix as my Gaming device/weekend phone.
That could work or just wait a few.months and get an HTC dual core as your companion gaming phone by that time more stuff will.be dual core optimized and you get a better phone from a better company

I thought about the Atrix, but I like the 4.3" screen size and have found that I just love HTC Sense. Motoblur is crappy looking and on the DX I found the corporate mail to be buggy.
It's so refreshing having the Inspire with the 70 HTC widgets freely available. (Many of them are even scrollable widgets!) I had purchased a lot of widgets for the DroidX to customize stuff but now I find myself preferring the HTC widgets to anything I had bought. All of my screens and toggle buttons now look consistent. There are so many small touches that HTC Sense made to their phones to make them more useable I'm kicking myself for not having switched sooner (although I wasn't going to Sprint since I don't think they have much future.)
I might have stayed for the HTC Thunderbolt on Verizon, but my wife's on ATT (iPhone) and their data plans are cheaper for two smartphones than Verizon's. I also noticed that getting a signal inside large buildings/malls, seems much better with GSM phones than CDMA phones.
Speedtest results btw show my Verizon DX vs ATT Inspire to be pretty even (on average) in my area. For some reason though the ATT phone will occasionally spike or dip in speeds vs the verizon being pretty consistently in the middle. I'm just lovin' HTC Sense though.
