Help Using K9 Email...delete stock email account?

If I'm using K9 for email, do I need to delete the stock Gmail account that I setup? I noticed that I got 2 alerts now, one for K9 and one for the stock.

No, you do not have to delete the old one. What I did was go into the Gmail settings and turn notifications off. K-9 has its own set of notificaitons. Go to Gmail, hit the menu button, hit settings, uncheck "Email Notifications".

Also make sure gmail is not checking for emails automatically either, to save some battery life (if possible, that is).
