Using Kies ** ISSUE **

i hooked up my phone to my laptop and opened KIES and it says it cannot connect because my phone is using SMART SWITCH.

how to fix this issue? i wanna use kIES with my phone.

i have no smart switch porgram on my phone or computer
 
See that's the thing, people are having mixed results. Some say you get the popup and they're forced to use Smart Switch. Others say they've been able to ignore the popup, and use Kies anyway. I use adb for file transfer so I've used neither of the aforementioned.

The Android debug bridge - a communication channel to your phone once you allow USB debugging from main settings, developer options. (Turn on developer options by going to about phone, Software information, and tap Build number repeatedly until you get access.)

That's the link you need in the second post, don't scroll up get the full SDK.

Post 3 has drivers.

To get to adb, Windows Explorer, shift+right click on the sdk-tools folder you got when you unzipped the sdk-tools.zip file download, choose open command window here.

Test by saying -

adb devices

You should see your serial number returned.
