Help Using MHL with HBOGO App?

I recently attempted to use MHL with my HBOGO app on my EVO 3D, and it doesn't quite work like I had hoped.

The quality loss is pretty substantial, and I can't seem to find any type of feature in the app to increase it.

Has anyone else tried this, and with what kind of results?

MHL does not have any "Settings". its just an output.

have you used , say, netflix or some other application through the MHL cable? what results do you see?

if you see better results with other applications then it sounds like a local issue with the HBO app rather than the phone and cable.

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I was referring to the HBO app when I mentioned settings. Not the mhl. I didn't get to try it with Netflix yet. I'll try that later.

HBO go app is not intended to be output from the phone. It's mobile resolution/quality from what I understand. You can always try outputting from a laptop.
