Root Using Revolutionary

Selected no & still get the same result :(

Looks like I'm gonna have to flash a 2.2 ROM & try it again.

I suppose I'm gonna have to do a full wipe before I flash the 2.2 ROM cos if I flash it over the top of what I've got it might cause issues?

where's the problem if you nandroid first?

What is it you are afraid of messing up?......

where's the problem if you nandroid first?

I was bothered about flashing a Froyo ROM right over the top of a Gingerbread one even if it is just for a bit until I S-OFF as when you're flashing different ROMS you're always told to backup 1st espeically if you're going to a different one.

Might just use revolutionary but that makes me a bit a nervous as it's beta & seems to include some kind of rooting procedure.

sorry, but i just dont see the problem. nandroid your current setup, then wipe and install the stock rom to gain s-off, then nandroid restore

yes dude, your making such hard work of it, when it really is simple

Yeah I guess I am being cautious but best to ask questions first than regret it later ;)

Pity it doesn't work on any ROM though.

Thanks for your help chaps, will update in a day or two when I've done it.

yes i agree with you there, but as long as you have a good backup plan first, your ok most of the time. That's why we always say nandroid nandroid nandroid on here. Anyway, good luck.

Well flashing a 2.2 ROM before using Alpharev seems to have done the trick cos I now have S-OFF on my recovery screen :D

Just restoring my A2SD Leedroid Nandroid backup now - will have a go a at DATA++ another day.

Thanks for the help chaps :)

Successfully running Leedroid HD Data++ ROM now, well happy :D

Got loads of space free now as well - for now ;)

Thanks to everyone for the help, just need to think of something else to do to it now :)
