Using s2 as wireless network adaptor possible?

Hi there,
not sutre if this is the right section to post this as im completely new here :/
i recently moved house and in doing so changed internet provider and now my wireless network adaptor isnt compatiable with my new virgin media super hub, tho my s2 can connect completely fine to it.
i was wondering if its possible to use my phone as a wireless network adaptor by connecting my phone to pc via usb or any sort.
ive tried setting it up as a wifi hotspot and that works but that in turns using my 3g usage up

can't answer your question about using phone as an adapter but i'm certain it would be easier to purchase a new usb adapter. see link below:
