Help Using SGS2 as Wi Fi hub

Hi guys,

I am not able to connect to internet via my PC using SGS2 as the wi fi hub.
I can see in my network connections this:

My pc -> My galaxy -> Internet

My pc says, its connected to the internet, but i cannot browse any site in any browser, neither can i ping to any site in command prompt.

I tried with both security open and WPA2..

What s the problem??

Try to connect with other wifi devices. Could be your PC; my network adapter is forever pissing me off.

I'm sorry if this is a simplistic response but have you tried rebooting your router? They're just like PCs in that they sometimes need a reboot, just pull out the power lead for a few seconds.

I could connect to internet with other wi - fi connection from my pc. so is it my sgs2 or anything related to settings..

Sorry, what I meant was to try connecting to your phone's wifi hotspot with another device-- like an iPod or laptop.

Hey, I got it work ..It was something to do with the TCP/IP settings in my laptop...

What settings did you change?
I'm having exactly the same problem with my SG S2 when trying to connect either my Blackberry or my laptop to it.
Any help or advice on this would be very gratefully received.
