Using tablet without battery

Hi, I have 8" WonderMedia 8650. Last year I changed the battery, becouse it's capacity was become low and the battery was swollen. Now the new battery (from china) is the same thing. I use the tablet mostly in home and for reading, so I decided not to place a new battery. I moved away the battery and I use the tablet only with charger. When I don't use it, I turn it off. I use it that way a couple of weeks. My question is - can the information, data and OS be lost, for example after some period of not using. How the data is saved without any electricity ?

Nowadays electronic devices like phones and tablets have non-volatile storage which store their data without the need to be powered up ... so you don't need to worry about loosing data while the battery is removed :)

I think the only thing it's going to affect would be the system clock, if it's unplugged and without battery power to keep the clock going. Otherwise it shouldn't be a problem if it's been working while plugged in. Just make sure you have it plugged into a charger that has a good power output. I've noticed on my tab that while playing GPU intensive games, it'll actually discharge the battery even while plugged in (with a crappy wall plug or front panel of my PC).

TL;DR: Make sure you plug it into something with good output (1A should be fine, I think, someone correct me on that if I'm wrong)
