Root Using the UOT Kitchen

Perhaps this may seem a little silly, but I've hit a problem when using the UOT Kitchen last night... perhaps it was because it was so late, perhaps it was because I did something wrong (having not used it before)... anyway... any help/advice that anyone can offer is most appreciated...

So... I went to the site and watched the Australian guy's video on how to use the kitchen. I went through the process and put all the mods in I wanted (battery, icons, status bar, pop-up, window, font, boot animation), went to File upload (and selected CM7), wnet to Summary and found that I'd got everything right (all showing as green, no red) and so went for it, waited for the file to show, downloaded and flashed it.

Here's where my problem was... I got stuck in a loop on the boot animation... waited, as I thought it may have needed to take a while the first time, but no... pulled the battery and tried to boot up again, but same problem :(

I thought I'd re-try in the kitchen without a boot animation... thought that it may sort my problem, but no... same thing... got stuck on the CM boot animation in the same way :(

I have had a thought on this but, as it was quite late, thought I'd leave it for the night and post on here today. The kitchen's list has "CyanogenMod 7.1.0-RC1, Desire HD ROM", but not 7.1.0 Stable... is that why it's not working? Has anyone else (who is on CM7.1.0) used the kitchen and been able to get their theme sorted?

Yeah, it doesn't really work if you select the RC, not the Stable release.

What worked for me was uploading the theme manager apk's (cyanbread apk, androinian.apk and whatever the other one is called) via the upload option, then creating your theme from there. You can find the apks using Astro (probably), but I did it using MPE.

Here's Cyanbread, I can upload the other apks if you want?

Cheers Pres. Am out at the mo - if you wouldn't mind, copies of apks to use would be great, so all I need to do is get straight on with cooking when I get home!

Cheers Mate! :D

Hola Senior Presidente!

Only just had a chance to have a look at this... thanks for uploading these... you say there's another one that I need to upload when it comes to the last part on the UOT Kitchen... what do I need to be looking for?

All you need to do is take one of those files, rename it D-U-R-X (or whatever), then upload it on the upload page of the kitchen, then make your theme from there. When you're done, cook, download, and flash in CWM. Make sense?

I chose Cyanbread as it's blue and I've went for a blue/black theme on my handset.

Oh... right... I see!!

Thought I had to upload all files to UOT... was wanting a blue theme myself, so think I'll give what you've said a go!!

Help...when im trying to load a theme (cm7) to customize no files show up to select..I can't figure out why. Plz help asap
