Help using wi-fi connection

Hi

Just got this phone and totally new to smartphones so please excuse me if being dumb...

In Wi-Fi settings, my home connection is showing as disabled even though the correct password has been entered. The Wi-Fi just keeps showing as Scanning... or disconnected.

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same problem. Seen it around t'internet a few times but no solution!

Connects to my home wi-fi then instantly disconnects, does this a few times, then permanently disconnects. Power cycling phone does not help. Wi-fi sleep policy set to 'never'.

Security is WPS-PSK, signal strength of wi-fi is good, not on a crowded channel, IP is assigned automatically, changed mixed/b/g mode without success, no MAC address filtering is in place.

Run out of things to try! Any help greatly appreciated.

Yep, me too. I cant connect at all, I dont know what ive done, must have changed a setting or something. Im totally new to all the tech and would appreciate some hints too.

I'll add to this. In the past 3 days my wife's phone (while travelling) has stopped accessing her parent's Wi-Fi. It shows connecting then Disabled. Her iPod is able to connect no problem. This problem has just occurred (July23 2011) after 2 weeks of connecting just fine. All sleep settings have been checked, no Alarm sleeps exist. I've suggested she compare Wi-Fi settings on the 2 devices and see if there is any differences which she doing tomorrow (2:10am in Ontario, Canada).
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Help Mr. LG!!
