Using your phone through your PC?

[charlieshiiin]

Is it possible to be able to utilize your phone using some kind of program on your computer?

For example: I get a text on my phone. I can use a program on my PC to reply to that text.

This is probably overkill for you, but....

If you root your phone, you can get an app called droid VNC server. It turns your phone into a VNC server, so if you have a VNC client on your computer, you can connect to your phone. VNC is a remote-desktop protocol. Basically you see your phone screen on your PC, and you can interact with it directly. Works over the air; no need to be connected via USB.

mouse click = finger tap
mouse hold and drag = finger swipe
Esc key = back
Home key = home

It's laggy, but it works.

It doesn't affect your phone. But the refresh rate on the PC side is slow.
