To die on the flight home, after risking his life to bring the freedoms we take for granted to others less fortunate, is deeply and sadly ironic. Especially so as the Cambridgeshire/Lincolnshire Fens are the resting place for many other young Americans who gave their lives 70yrs ago for a similar reason.
