Ive tried streaming with the droid x on both apps.....its says im streaming and all but when i go to the proper websites on the computer all i get is a black screen with no sound....unless i save and upload the video.....is this due to the built in stuff that wont allow us to stream stuff via hdmi as well?? or am i not doing something right?
 
Ustream works fine for me, Qik does not. Qik records video for about 15-20 seconds then freezes the video when trying to do it live. From comments in the market, a lot of other people are having the exact same problem with Qik.

are you able to stream live with ustream? i mean while your streaming on your phone can you go to ustream.com on our computer and watch? mine shows black screen until i stop recording.
 
Have you tried to change the resolution you are capturing/streaming? Maybe drop your setting from HD to D1 or VGA. Maybe Ustream doesn't "like" the HD format from the Droid X. I'd try it myself but I'm not using either site.
 
yea, I just signed up and tried it with the D1 setting and it works fine. Cool. Now if only I led an exciting life, people would care. Oh well.
 
Ha, I saw your message. Actually, my girlfriend and I have a little band, we're going to do some live shows from our living room soon. Not sure I'll use the Droid for that though, probably hook up some better mikes to my laptop...
 
Yea, I was gonna ask if you'd go around the corner and get me a Whopper from Burger King but it wouldn't do me any good since I'm in TN and you're in PA. I've thought about streaming while driving around Nashville, like a dash board cam. Might have to, just to see if anyone is bored enough to watch.
 
Newbie here. I need to watch a concert on ustream tomorrow night. Can you tell me how to hook my x up to my hd tv using the hdmi cable? Thanks
