Root [UTILITY | S-OFF] RegawMOD Bootloader Customizer - xda-developers

Description
RegawMOD Bootloader Customizer is a utility for Windows that allows the
user to create a PJ75IMG.zip containing a custom bootloader image.
With this program, you are able to edit the text on the pink banner at the top
(***LOCKED*** in stock or ---LazyPanda--- in custom),
change the S-OFF to S-ON, and hide/customize the splash screen disclaimer.

Choosing the "Stock Look" option is just like relocking your bootloader
and flashing the stock bootloader without having to do either of them! Very easy!

This program will NOT flash the zip for you, but it will allow you to save it to your computer to let you flash the zip yourself.
The process (flashing a new bootloader) is dangerous and may possibly brick your device if done incorrectly. You have been warned.

Requirements
Windows w/ .NET 3.5 or higher
HTC Evo 4G LTE
Flashing the PJ75IMG.zip that this utility produces REQUIRES your device to be LazyPanda S-OFF.

Usage
1. Run the RegawMOD Bootloader Customizer.exe on your computer.
2. Either choose "Stock Look" from the options,
or customize your look and feel using the text box at the top and options below.
The preview on the right will update live as you change the text and options.
You can change the splash screen text by selecting "Custom Developer Disclaimer".
3. Press "Create Zip"

How To Flash A PJ75IMG.zip
  1. Place the PJ75IMG.zip on the root of your external sdcard. (Copy it right onto your sdcard, not in any folder)
  2. Reboot the phone into the bootloader by either:
    • Powering off your phone completely, then hold Volume-Down and Power until the phone boots into the bootloader
    • If you have the android sdk set up, type 'adb reboot-bootloader'
    • Use my RegawMOD Rebooter
  3. Then select the menu option "Bootloader" and press the power button.
    • If you rebooted the manual way (Volume-Down + Power) You should already be at this menu
  4. It will load the PJ75IMG.zip from your sdcard and ask you to accept the flash.
  5. Press Volume Up to flash
  6. Once prompted, press Power to reboot
  7. Pro-Tip #1 (thanks dsEVOlve): Remove the PJ75IMG.zip from your sdcard so it doesn't load next time you enter the bootloader.

I'm stuck Regaw. I couldn't get the s-off tool on my company laptop during the week. (I'm working out of town) The corp. laptop won't allow any driver or program installations.

Now they pulled the tool. No tasty bamboo for my El TEvo. :(

Updated this to version 3.0. Most likely the final version :) Way more customizations added.

New Features include:
Changed "S_ON" to "S-ON" for more realistic look when selecting "Stock Look"
Changed "** LOCKED **" to "*** LOCKED ***" for more realistic look when selecting "Stock Look"
Changed Version # to 1.12.0000 when selecting "Stock Look" (Stays 1.12.1111 otherwise)
Hidden red HTC Developer splash screen text when selecting "Stock Look"
Custom hboot (Not "Stock Look") gets updated timestamp on build
Ability to customize red HTC Developer splash screen text

Oh man this is too cool! I think I'm going to keep a PJ75IMG.zip of a stock looking bootloader just in case I gotta take it in to the shop. Now my bootloader says at the top "LTEvo 4273" (42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything. And 73 is the best number as explained by Sheldon Cooper)

And now my warning text says "WITH ROOT, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE" (this is what I tell people all the time at work when they complain about their phones)

THANKS REGAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have dried this a few times and am running into the problem of the zip image not installing. The wierd thing is when in the bootloader I can see it read a series of images saying no image after each one, and moves into the fastboot. This also happened when I was trying to update to the latest Lazy Panda HBoot. Any suggestions?

I started S-ON with Regaw and when the 1.22 base came out I did S-OFF (Lazy Panda). I have been running MeanROM and tried to do this after the new base came out, could that be the problem?

Were you able to install the no-text LazyPanda 1.12.2222 by flashing from hboot fastboot?

No, since I updated to the new base I haven't been able to flash any image. I am currently on HBOOT 1.12.1111 Lazy Panda S-OFF. I downloaded the zip image from this site:

[MOD | S-OFF] Remove Red HTC Developer Splash Screen Text - xda-developers

put it into my root directory and when I click the power button when bootloader is highlighted it runs though a series of zip images (green text) but doesn't load them (this is for any PJ75IMG it seems).

I was able to uppdate TWRP through GOO.

Ideas?
Thanks Chris

Please double check that the file name in /sdcard2 doesn't end in .zip.zip and that you don't have multiple IMG zips there.

Also, check the md5sum to ensure a good download.

Simple stuff, I know. Gotta cover the bases.

After you are in hboot, do you see an option for fastboot?

Ok,

so the checksum was good, and I made sure zip wasn't in the name with only one image at a time, but it still would not load. When I go into HBOOT it has FASTBOOT highlighted in red(not an option) with

BOOTLOADER
REBOOT
REBOOT BOOTLOADER
POWERDOWN

as selectable options. When I press the power button on bootloader it looks at the zip image but does not load it. The only thing I can think of at this moment is that I have it in the wrong directory:
/sdcard/

You have your EStrongs File Explorer settings set to look at /sdcard rather than just / that's probably the problem.

In any case, /sdcard/ext_sd == /sdcard2 so put your image zip there, that's your external sd card.

Winner winner chicken dinner!!!!

Thanks EM,

I always thought that it did read there (probably because thats not where to put the recoveries.

Chris.
