Vanilla Android?

Is there any way to remove the touchwiz 3.0 and have standard vanilla android 2.1?

Besides rooting I don't think so, but you can use Launcher pro beta which is really nice. My favorite feature and the main reason I'm using it is that you can put the home screens in landscape mode.

Yea. If you know how to create your own custom ROM, until then you'll have to wait until a Vanilla ROM is released.

where will i be able to find this rom when it comes out. also is it possible to use a boot rom for say the nexus

No, the ROM is specific to the phone. There is one out for the European Galaxy S so it's probably not long before one hits for the US phones. That's a 2.1 ROM, no 2.2 yet?
