Help varies ring tones per notification

[AWDeagleTSi]

My wife Black Berry has a feature I would greatly like to have on my LG Optimus V and that is she can dedicate each of her contacts with there own specific ring tone, is there a way I can do this on my LG? At this time I only see one specific ring tone for all notifications or calls.

For your ringtones, go to contacts, click on the contact, press menu and select options. I don't think you can set a different tone for contacts for texts. To set your ringtone for gmail, open gmail, press menu-more-settings, click on the account, scroll down to the bottom (labels to notify), first option will let you change your notification tone.

ChompSMS or GoSMS will set those per contact for text messaging.

Handcent lets you set ringtones/notifications for different people for texts also.
