Help VCast Song ID?

Just got my Rezound last night!! Early Christmas present from the hubby.

I couldn't find VCast Song ID ... which I don't use too often ... but it's cool to have.

I found the Verizon section on Market ... and I see "VCast Song ID for Devour" ... but, of course, we don't have Devours.

I found the Verizon section on Market ... and I see "VCast Song ID for Devour" ... but, of course, we don't have Devours.

What is the primary function of the song ID? Does it identify songs or is it just for album artwork? The built-in music player has a feature to find album artwork, granted it labeled an AC/DC song on my player as a song by the Muppets.

It identifies song artist, album and title of music it "hears". I've probably had a 90% success rate with it ... well ... with song title and artist. Album can be a bit tricky as many artists release their songs on a couple of albums (original, then greatest hits, then live, ...)

I'm running on the assumption that it hasn't been released for the Rezound yet ... and if I wait patiently it will surface.

Try Shazam, it does a good job at identifying songs.

Definitely try soundhound. That's the one app I miss the most going back to Blackberry. The Verizon song I'd app works, but very basic compared to even the free version of soundhound.

So far, Soundhound is awesome and blows Vcast Song ID out of the water!
