Here's the changelog.

BETA 5 changes:
* NEW KERNEL **Thank you Rothnic** We have compiled alot of new features in to this with more on it’s way at some point.
* LAG on WAKE FIX! woo hoo! no more laggy tablet after sleeping.
* CIFS support (allows mounting shared folders over a network) –search CIFS in the android market for apps
* NTFS support (this gives us the ability to mount drives formatted NTFS which is popular on Windows machines…. Larger File Support)
* Ethernet on DOCK Support (This will only work right now if the device is booted while connected to the dock to activate the port)
* G-Sensor Fix (this has been long awaited by many! Fixes most games that use the g-sensor for controls, etc.) **this is a DIRTY FIX but it works… only issue is it does mess up mouse usage… so if you are a mouse user and don’t care about the g-sensor being right for games there is a patch below that you can apply ***AFTER*** you install BETA 5.
* REBOOT OPTION has now been added to the power menu. Remember that popup menu is a scrollable menu so if you don’t see it all use your finger and scroll on down!
* I increased the DELAY for the LONGPRESS Power button to bring up the menu… it is now a full second.

This G-sensor fix has also been applied to TNT. What makes this great, it also allows for full 360 degree rotation. So when you want to improve the viewing angles on certain apps, just flip that gtab over.

to those of you that have Vegan Beta 4...how do you like it in comparison to TnT Lite?

they are comparable in speed (2520 benchmark on TnT lite, 2508 on VEGAn), but the fact that VEGAn lets you install and use other on-screen keyboards is the deciding factor for me. i simply hate the space in the middle of the stock TnT keyboard, and am liking the Gingerbread keyboard much better. i also like the stock android settings menu in VEGAn, while it is not necessarily "better" i find that i can navigate through it much easier since i am already used to the layout.

Vegan seems smoother to me. The animations are pretty nice too. Makes it more fancy smancy. I haven't had issues with either TnT or vegan so I guess its just my preference to use vegan.

Obviously I'm doing something wrong. Am I not supposed to download Vegan zip and just rename it to update.zip? Then just run the update using + and power button?
Thank you for helping with my ignorance

No, using the standard recovery method (no clockwork recovery) you need to extract the update zip and recovery folder from the vegan zip and then put those two files into the root of your internal sd. No need to rename anything.

When I extract it...those are not in the folder. This is what it contains. META-INF, Boot and System. So it lost me....

Going to try and re download...maybe thats what went wrong
