Veho Pebble Portable Battery

I'm currently charging my Desire by using the Pebble's USB port and the USB cable supplied with the phone. I want to see if it has any effect on the Pebble battery life or causes it to discharge.

If anyone has any theories on this or has actually tried this before please let me know....

I started at 14:05 with exactly 10% battery life left on the Desire.
The Pebble is full charged and I've killed all apps impacting the Desire's battery life to get the results as accurate as possible.

Updatey:

Exactly 2hrs 30mins into test - Desire 60% charged. Pebble power still lit up to 'full power' as expected but I was really expecting the full charge to be done by now.

50% of the Desires total battery life charged in 2.5hrs, not too bad imo.
 
I bought the proporta 3400 but haven't had to use it yet. Smaller than Desire.

Will make report when I use it.

Final Update:

The Pebble is still showing plenty of life, still lit up at full.
The Desire is now fully charged at 100%.
The charge gave 90% battery life back to the Desire and took 5hrs 5mins through the HTC supplied USB cable.

I will continue this process daily and let you know how many charges the Pebble gets through the USB cable as opposed to the AC adapter supplied which is twice as fast at charging.... Pity I lost the micro USB adapter and can't find a replacement :(

For the record, I love how versatile this wee Pebble is.
Thoroughly worth the money I paid.
 
Does this show the desire as charging via usb or AC? because thats a long time for the desire to charge and I was under the impression these things charged at AC rate
 
This shows it charging on USB buddy, not AC.

The pebble does come with multitude of popular AC adapters to suit many phones and other devices but unfortunatly I lost the Micro USB adapter coming home from a music festival 3 or four weeks back. I can't seem to find a replacement either hence these tests on the normal USB cable -anyone fancy lending a hand to help me find one please?

During the festival however the Pebble pulled an 8% charged Desire to 100% in 2.5hrs when not in use. The following night I was using the desire pretty heavily for the music player whilst web browsing and gaming, the charge began at 11% and was 100% in just under 4hrs even in the constant use.

These examples are ofcourse not to be expected with my tests just now.
 
Yes with the pebble when charging via the USB adapter that came with it, the phone will state it is being charged via AC therefore 2-2.5hours charge. but with the HTC cable it will charge via USB therefore half the speed getting around 5hours.
 
Think he may have found it via this thread on HotUKDeals. It's actually from Gizoo, but you need to use the voucher code shown in the original post in the HotUKDeals thread to get it at that price.

Same here, took it to Glastonbury with me, charged my phone a couple of times (it was never completely dead), was there for 5 days and it still reckons it's 'mid' full. Great with all the USB attachments too, so you can charge just about any USB-chargable device with it.

When I bought it it was
 
Used my pebble today for the first time, put it on charge..put it in my pocket....charged once an died, wouldnt charge nothing else either.
So now im in the process of charging it again via the mains this time but as i charge it sometimes cuts off :S
 
Hmmm.. wanted one of these since reading doad13's excellent review in the sticked battery thread. This might be a stupid question but looking at the Pebble contents from the gizoo site it lists the contents as this:

x5 adapters (iPod Adapter, Mini USB, Sony Eriksson, Samsung & Nokia)

Where the hell is the micro usb for the desire?

Doad also got 5x adaptors, he listed them as mini usb, micro usb, ipod, samsung, nokia.

Are there two different packs you can get or something? has anyone received their pebble from gizoo and can confirm you do indeed get a micro usb adaptor for the desire? Is it a misprint or what?
 
I can confirm that you get the micro usb with the one from Gizoo. Just recieved mine this morning and I'm hoping it will solve my phone dieing in the middle of the day problems!
