Root Velocity 1.0 update issue

I am running Velocity 1.0 and I just found out about that Velocity updated to 1.1, so I ran to my Terminal Emulator to update, but I came across a strange issue.

This is what I did:
(opened Terminal Emulator)
su

Press enter to continue

So, I went back to update scripts, and I got a message that reads "You already have the latest script version"

What do I do now? Do I have to start over and flash 1.1 the hard way?
Oh, and when I tried to clear the download cache, it tells me to press enter to continue, but nothing happens. I have to back out of TE and start over.

Rebooting did nothing. It also seems that TE is becoming less responsive, freezing often.

How do I check the script version?

It looks like I'm having hardware issues also, my Ally doesn't seem to notice that I've plugged it into the computer. Hopefully that's just my slightly chewed USB cable
