heres what happened. i accidently opened velocity over my 2.2. im stuck in a boot loop with no backup. is there anyway i can fix this or do i have to take the phone to verizon? its an lg ally. any info would greatly be appreciated. thanx

Whoooa that sucks to accidentally flash a ROM! Yes do as savoxis says for he is all knowing and will lead you to the light! ;)

Thanx ill check that out ya guys r life savers worked out and I'm rooted lol.I appreciate the help.

If you just flashed velocity then flash a rom provided by savoxis or from the scyth guy and it will work!

If I'm not mistaken you must be running 2.2 with root to flash any of the 2.2 ROM's. If you simply flash any of the 2.2 ROM's over Velocity, this will cause a boot loop.

It should work as the 2.2.1 radio is already flashed. If the OP is in a boot loop already, I dont see why not to try. I'd suggest wiping data, cache, and the dalvik cache, then flash one of the 2.2 roms. I personally use Byron Bare.

Gah... again, "if I'm not mistaken", if you flash the Velocity ROM, it also flashes the "VS740ZVC ERE27 Android 2.1 Base." The radio is flashed with the 2.1 ROM's. So trying to flash a 2.2 ROM over 2.1 will not work because the radio cannot be flashed. That is the whole problem with getting a 2.2 ROM to easily flash from a custom recovery in 2.1.

So I'm guessing that once the radio is flashed to 2.2 you are good to go to flash any 2.2 ROM. Yup I was wrong! Good call Viper05.

You are welcome my fellow Android brotha. I knew you had it working. I guess this part wasn't read very good ;)

I'm glad it all worked out good for you. Just be careful with those accidents. That's a lot of steps to take just for making one wrong click. Lol

got it covered have 2 backups now one on my sd card and one on disk lol

2.1 ROMS do not include the radio.img, and this is one of the reasons why, the radio has ALWAYS been an additional addon!

And this is the exact reason I corrected myself here:

There's no need for correcting an already corrected correction! ;)
