Ver 1.6 upgrade ?

[Revolting One]

I recently bought a 7" Touchpad from a well known UK Store, with Ver 1.6 on it.
I am now told that it cannot be upgraded.
Has anybody any experience in doing this, and is the upgrade reversable if it does not work ?
Cheers !

I think you need to be a little more specific on what device you have.
