verizon 3g usb modem

Does anyone know if a Verizon USB wireless modem can be used with the iconia tab? Was hoping to be able to use this as I already have the USB modem.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Mike.

Probably not since they require windows software to operate. You are probably going to need a wireless hotspot.

I use a prepaid Virgin Mobile Mifi2200 and it works great.

Does that thing have an HDMI port? That's kinda what it looks like from the picture I saw.
I really want to buy the tablet, but I really want to have 3G. I noticed on the site it requires a Windows or a mac, but I imagine that is just going to be needed to confire the password and some settings?
Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

On my mifi its a micro USB port for charging it.

OK. Just from the pic it looked like an HDMI. Which is kinda good that it's a mini USB because then it would have been pretty big device.

Can you answer my other question that you only need a PC to configure the device?
And I'm not sure if I can get that device in Canada, but I'll have to look.

Edit: Looks like Rogers has a mobile hotspot device, so I'll probably take a look at that.

I'm not understanding your question?

If you are referring to the Mifi, it charges by Micro USB, and is the size of a credit card.

You need a PC (any pc) to activate the hotspot, but once it's activated/configured, that's it.
