[Verizon] 4.1.2 Update

funny how when the Galaxy S4 will be unveiled in New York City today march 14, I get a new Update for my GS3


my current Android version is 4.1.1

let's see what it will be after this update...so excited!!!!

now my GS3 has a more updated version of Jellybean (4.1.2) than my GNote 2 (4.1.1) LOL

Depends on the version and kernel, but some reports in the UK are that there may be a possible fix for the iBolt docks not charging the phone, amongst other things.

Off the top of my head: multi-window, new gallery, low light camera mode ... do a google search for samsung premium suite.

The VZW update to 4.1.2 was just some minor connectivity updates. We did not get the Multi-Window or gallery update like the international updates got with 4.1.2.

I got the update yesterday and have had nothing but problems since then.

The update included "Email syncing improvements", but the improvement in my case means that phone is constantly trying to connect to my office exchange server. I have the settings set to "push", yet the software is now is constant state of "refresh" causing my battery life to drop considerably. I've even gone as far as resetting the update interval from "push" to manual to try to prevent the phone from connecting to the server without my assistance with no luck, even after a reboot.

If it hasn't been noted already in the thread, those having issues after the update may want to backup personal data & do a factory reset. I had to do one after the 4.0 to 4.1 T-Mo update. I know this is smaller though, wouldn't think you need to...

There's also the option of wiping the system cache in the stock recovery- much less painful & might help...
