[Verizon] 4.2 /sdcard and /sdcard/0 Observation

I have a question about this as well. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3113 and both are running Android 4.2.2 and both are showing directories storage/emulated/0, storage/emulated/legacy, storage/sdcard0, storage/extSdCard (which is my 32GB microsdcard) and I need to free up some internal storage space on my tablet. Are all these storage directories necessary? Under the storage settings, it says I have no free internal storage out of my 8GB, but when using ES File Explorer and other File Managers, they all say I have the same amount of free internal storage but they also say my total amount of internal storage capacity is only 4.6GB instead of 8GB. Can I delete the info from one of these 3 directories on my internal storage, like the storage/emulated/0 or the storage/emulated/legacy or the storage/sdcard0? They all seem to have the same information in them. I would really appreciate any help, thanks.
 
As far as I know those directories are just images of each other, not duplications of the files contained within. Have you gone to /data/media/0 to see what's there?
 
Apparently, I had an app that created over 1GB of hidden cache files, so I uninstalled the app and both my free space and my total space increased by the same amount. One more thing, I understand that Android 4.2.2 is setup for multiple users, hence the multiple directories, but is it really necessary to have 3 directories that all have the same info? (storage/emulated/0, storage/emulated/legacy, and storage/sdcard0? 8GB of internal memory isn't very much, but I bought this Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 just to mess around with. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, a Samsung Galaxy S4, and a Samsung Galaxy S3. That's why I bought a 32GB MicroSD card for the Galaxy Tab 2. I thought it was great when the last update came out which allowed me to move apps to the SD card, like I could with earlier versions of Android, but I've found out that not many apps will run from the SD card anymore. It seems like it's only useful to store music, movies, etc. on it.
 
I'm having an issue with all of this too.

TWRP

I use goo manager to install the latest twrp and it downloads and I think installs it. Reboot to recovery to see old twrp. Check goo folder and nothing there. Check back up folder in twrp and it's a different nandroid then the ones I can find in Root Explorer.

Using Root Explorer i can see the lastest downloaded twrp in the goo folder but I cannot find the nandriod that I see in twrp.

data/media/0 - sdcard/- storage/emulated, sdcard 0 all have the same info as I can tell.

Is there anywhere else that I'm missing?
