[Verizon] 4g lte sim

Lurker
Hi!

i own a samsung galaxy nexus verizon phone and i unlocked and rooted the phone. My question is how do i get a signal? Is it possible to buy a verizon lte sim off ebay and pop one in, and expect a signal? I was hoping to use this phone as a 3g with pageplus, but I'm not sure how to go about this. Im not a verizon customer, i didn't realize these 4g phones are this complicated!!:(

If you bought a verizon phone, you have to walk into a verizon store or call them on the phone to get service. Yes, they will get you a sim to plug in.

Otherwise you have an expensive little wifi-only device. :D

Did you make sure your phone has a clean ESN when you bought it? Otherwise you will not be able to activate it. (Clean ESN means it's not reported missing or associated with an unpaid acct.)

yah clean esn, had a warranty too (which i voided by unlocking/rooting), was a very good deal... :( thanks for letting me know, i thought if i insert a sim card (like a dummy 4g lte sim bought of ebay) i'd get a verizon signal(w/o buying any plans from verizon)... i don't intend to be a verizon customer ( i love my inexpensive pageplus that uses verizon network), I guess i'll have to return/sell the phone back :dontknow: thanks!
