Root [Verizon] Another battery life post

my baseband version is I535VRLHE. You can get it here:

[MODEMS] <VRLK3> Verizon SGS3 (SCH-I535) [ODIN or RECOVERY-flashable] - Verizon Galaxy S III Development - RootzWiki

Don`t know how you would find/extract the modem or rpm from your backups or if they`re even there. I think the rom, the kernel, & the baseband versions are independent. Not sure though.

I think you're right on them being separate...read somewhere they survive a factory reset when flashing a new ROM.

Thanks for the link, I'll try it if the one I flashed doesn't do much better..

Ok guys, here are ss's of my betterbatterystats...anything standout to you? The phone lay idle throughout the night prior to these shots...

What app is "twofortyfouram"? trying to get a gps fix or something?

This?
http://www.appbrain.com/app/locale/com.twofortyfouram.locale

That's an app that I have that allows me to set certain conditions - for example, when I go near a Lowes store and if I have a note or to-do item in Astrid (app) then Locale will put out a notification ti remind me...:p

It's worked flawless in past but not since this last fiasco! You think it's giving me fits

Granted that leaving it sit for 8 hours and only lost 18% isn't bad at all :) .
See what happens during the course of the day. You could freeze that app and see if there is any improvement. Did you flash another modem before those screen shots?

That's what I thought too, not bad

Yes I did flash new modem and rpm file as well. I will freeze the app to see what happens tho...I'll keep you up to date

I think you have it beat buddy . . . ! Only 18% drain in 8+ hours with all those apps running - Thats dam good. Definately a major improvement. I bet if you shut down some of the apps that you don`t need running, it will improve even more . . .

Are we to assume that all is well & battery consumption is back to acceptable ???

Unfortunately it did not resolve. I was at 34% before noon. Enough is enough:mad: so I restored to 5.5.1. I'm just not the best at analytical troubleshooting so this was simply stressing me out! I'm gonna stay here for a while until I feel the urge to 'improve' upon my ROM...

Thanks a bunch for your help as well as that of Mikestony...you guys are awesome :D

If you are looking battery life I have tweaked HYPERDRIVE and inverted gapps, and other inverted apps. I have the kernel tweaked as listed. And I am just sipping battery these days. It's not super clean like cleanrom. But raw power and battery life is off the chart.

So 11% over 7.5 idle hrs is normal? I thought mine was kinda high.

Depending on what you have running, yes, I think that is acceptable:)

No tweaks, my usual apps, pretty much everything turned on, CM10 stable(ish) :) This thread prompted me to poke around with betterbatterystats and I see the often mentioned google location partial wakelocks all over the top five and some wifi polling, but it isn't surprising.
I set a manual LAN IP and turned off UPNP, might shut up some of that.
It isn't my Evo with the extended battery, but it's light years better than it was with the stock battery. Neat stuff. :)
