[Verizon] AOSP branches and build IDs

dhworph

Android Enthusiast
So I've been studying how to build AOSP and many related topics. And I wanted to try and build as close as possible to stock 4.1.1, but I was also interested in pulling some code from stock 4.0.4 (still not sure if its possible, but just playing with it). However, I didn't know which branches to pick and couldn't find that info online (I'm sure it is listed somewhere)... so I just synced all the branches to my computer and checked their IDs for toro builds:

toro (Verizon GNex) builds and ids (4.0.4 and later; *markes google factory images):

4.0.4 branches:
imm76 4.0.4_r1
imm76d 4.0.4_r1.1
imm76i 4.0.4_r1.2
*imm76k 4.0.4_r2
imm76l 4.0.4_r2.1

4.1.1 branches:
jro03c 4.1.1_r1
jro03d 4.1.1_r1.1
jro03e 4.1.1_r2
jro03h 4.1.1_r3
jro03l 4.1.1_r4
*jro03o 4.1.1_r5
jro03r 4.1.1_r6
jro03s 4.1.1_r6.1

4.1.2 branches:
jzo54k 4.1.2_r1

4.2.1 branches:
jop40c 4.2_r1
jop40d 4.2.1_r1
jop40f 4.2.1_r1.1
jop40g 4.2.1_r1.2

master branch:
openmaster 4.2.1.2.4.8.16.32.64 on 2/9/2013

I can't comment on how well any of the builds work or what proprietary binaries are compatible with what, but just thought this info might be useful to someone.

WOW... you're way past the casual user here, I think :p

We have a delightful Developer's Section where fellow coders can help you:

Application Development - Android Forums

Yes, it says Application Development, but it's the general pushing of ones and zeroes you might be interested in.

Rather than re-type this, I could just move the thread there for you if you like... just let me know :)

You could move it if you think it is more appropriate there... This info should be wherever it is more likely to be seen by people interested in building AOSP for the vzw gnex.

I wouldn't say I'm way past the casual user, lol... a bit of a tinkerer, for sure, but still haven't had the guts to flash one of my builds yet!
