[Verizon] Best Kernel and ROM Combinations?

In eager anticipation of my upgrade, I've been looking around at all the custom ROMs and Kernels that have been up and coming in the dev community. Since the first thing I'm probably do when I actually get my Nexus is flash a new kernel and ROM, I wanted to ask you all what your personal favorites are so far.

What are your favorite ROMs, favorite kernels, and which ROMs and Kernels deliver the best experience together?

It depends on what you want in a Rom. If you want a good bit of additional features then something like AOKP is probably what you want to use. I've not used it but it has some added stuff in it that what comes with stock.

If you basically want just a highly optimized close to stock Rom then i recommend Redemption Rom.

Personally i've had really good results with the Redemption Rom/Leankernel combo. However Lou (the dev of Redemption Rom) has his own custom kernel now that comes with the Rom and i've been using it with decent success.

I've been consistently happiest with AOKP/leankernel. You can read the features, etc, in the threads dedicated to each one, so I won't go into it here, but I get the best battery with that combination, and love the features on AOKP

I was getting amazing battery life with AOKP x.x/leankernel 1.6.6 exp3, but have since switched to AOKP x.x/Franco 16 and have even better battery life. The battery drain while the screen is on is by far the lightest I have experienced.

AOKP/Franco for me.

Been using Apex 1.0.2 with the imoseyon 3.0.18 kernel for about a week and a half and have had zero issues out of it. It is more stable than stock was for me.

CM9 kang by Winner with stock kernel has been good for me (using it until cm9 official is released). Everything works and have had no crashes knock on wood. A little wary of trying any kernel right now, even 2 of the popular ones (franco and leankernel) have issues both by themselves and with roms. Also according to a post on franco's threads gpu overclock doesn't help that much, and I wasn't planning on OCing the cpu. Waiting for the kernels to get more stable.
