In case folks noticed, there are some complaints that Google has hindered the camera from one version to the next when it comes to focusing and quickly snapping pictures.
4.0.1 is considered to have the best ability when it comes to focusing. It does this by allowing you to long press the shutter button to focus and let off to snap. 4.0.3 doesn't do this, and 4.0.2 doesn't do it very well. Simply compiling and using the 4.0.1 camera doesn't work so well as it has some not so fun bugs in it, and panorama mode is only available from the menu key.
So I have compiled two cameras from AOSP, 4.0.2 and 4.0.3 that have this behavior changed to be more like 4.0.1. I have not tested the 4.0.2 camera however. These may or may not work on oem versions, and may or may not require you to be deodexed.
