Root [Verizon] Can't flash custom ROM

But the only time it didn't show up was when I flashed a rom to my phone from my phones SD card and when I rebooted to DL it didn't show up! I even tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in and...nothing.

Try again, this time just shut down and manually put the device in download mode, don't go through safestrap to do it.
 
Ok so lets say I flash "biggins rom V6 + nc4" onto my phone from my phones SD card, turn my phone off, reboot into DL, then what do I flash thru Odin? This is something that I've never done.
 
nc4 should be a tar file that cannot be flashed through the device...

That's why we need Odin. We just want to flash that firmware update through Odin, and it needs to be on your computer, not your device.

Click the AP button and put the firmware there. Once it checks out, hit Start and let it work its' magic. :)
 
Well I mean technically if you are 4.4 stock I don't know if you even need the firmware, but better safe than sorry.

Yeah do that, try installing a ROM too (first), like JasmineROM, Baja, Hyperdrive, Objective, etc.
 
That is where u are losing me. I don't quite understand that process. What firmware are u talking about? If I flash biggins rom on my phone, then what do I flash thru Odin? Again, explain it like I'm 5 :)

I gave you the direct download above. It comes in a zip, but if you extract it to your desktop it should be a md5 file, which requires Odin to flash onto the device.

Ok, so let me ask one more time just be sure. So after I flash the biggins rom on my phone, I then flash that firmware on top of it using Odin?
 
Hey man, when I DL the rom to my phone, do I put it in the stock slot and the flash the other using Odin? Unknown my questions seem to repeat themselves, but I just want to make sure I'm doing it right.
 
Ok, that's where I put, but I haven't flashed the firmware yet. One more, do I activate slot one and then put into DL mode to flash the firmware?
 
I do a back up once a day just because, u know? I have tried stock and slot one and got the same results. I've got the new biggins rom downloaded to slot 1, but I haven't tried flashing the other firmware thru Odin yet. My question is, do I activate slot 1 and flash the firmware?
 
I know I'm a pain in the ass, but I really do appreciate u 2 helping me! Y'all have given me more help with this than I've ever received on any forum!

Yes we Dont mind some get angry and lost of patients and they lose it I can say you are very calm and say I Dont mind helping . I was shown in life that helping is a learning experience. I can show you and also learn from my mistakes . so this is a learning experience for you and me .
 
ok now I have a new problem...lol! I went to flash the firmware, I opened Odin, plugged the phone in and it instantly started downloading a new driver (MSM 8???). Needless to say, it couldn't find the driver and now Odin will not recognize my phone. When u plug the phone now it makes a new weird noise and my phone never shows up in Odin. There's no box that pops up after the new noise either. So I don't know whats gping on now...any suggestions? It seems that when I take a step forward, I get knocked 2 steps back...lol
