1. Is there a notification bar app that would allow me to control music from the notification bar rather than take me to the google music app?

I remember i had my dInc rooted and i could shuffle through some setting screens from my notification bar.

2. can you root from 4.0.4 and is there an easy oneclick way?


i've googled and a bit confused. I've had the phone since march and really only dont wanna lose my contacts with the wipe.

I am rooted and am using liquids rom and it offers controls in the notification bar area. You can control music toggle wifi and 4g and many other things. I am not for sure about rooting from 4.0.4 though. When I rooted I was on 4.0.2. Sorry I couldn't be a little more help in that area.

1. I belive CM has some commits that allow for lock screen music control outside of Google Music.

2. WugFresh. Search within the forum. Easiest one click from what I understand. I dunno 100% as I did everything in Ubuntu Linux Terminal.

Lastly, if your contacts are backed up as Google contacts then all will restore upon signing in to a fresh ROM installation. If contacts aren't currently backed up with Google contacts, do that before unlocking.

is there a rom with the ios 5 notification bar? Basically something that looks like ICS but with liquidsmooth's notification bar?
