I had severe reservations about it myself but I was pleasantly surprised.
I think all of the carriers are inherently evil you just have to pick your level of evil.
What I hope is that T-Mobile keeps pushing the envelope like they are and doing well
and that will force the hand of Verizon. I just want to see Lowell and Fran squirm.
What I have been told by the insiders that I know is that they are exploring IMEI blocking so when the time comes they can maintain control over the handsets. They make a fair bit of money from their handset control racket.
So, when the CDMA network is decommissioned in the next 7-8 years and the thought of bringing that Nexus 12 godmode edition to Verizon because it does LTE-huffalump and VoLTE enters your mind.... take it back out
It's going to come down to how strongly the FCC decides to enforce the C-Block restrictions on Verizon. If they go strict, they won't be able to block it or be found in violation and get fined again. All the hoopla with the LTE Nexus 7 doesn't give me much hope though.
