I simply added the Incredible to my homeowner's insurance. $30/year for loss/damage/theft coverage.
Damage is only covered if it is caused by a covered cause of loss. You dropping it and breaking it would not be covered. Just sayin'....
That really depends on your insurance provider/policy. If his agent said it was covered, it'll be covered (but don't just assume that sticking a rider on the policy will give you protection).

Not true, the agent is not the claims adjuster, and the policy language dictates the coverage, not what the agent says. Now, he may have an E&O claim against his agent if he provides incorrect coverage information, but he would have to have some sort of documentation that he was told something was covered when it wasn't. A personal articles floater is made a part of your HO policy, and may be amend the policy's causes of loss to be a bit broader than the standard HO coverage, but again - things like dropping your phone and water damage are rarely, if ever, covered. The HO policy is a standardized ISO form, and any company-specific forms (such as the personal articles floaters) must be filed and approved in their respective states for use, so you may see some variance by state. The point is...read your policy, and know what it says. Most people who depend on their HO policy for coverage on a mobile device end up mad because it doesn't cover some very common causes of loss, even with endorsements specifically tailored to mobile device coverage. I'm licensed with 112 carriers, and I haven't seen one yet that I would drop my Asurion coverage for.

3 times? Thought you could only file a couple claims a year with asurion?

Lost two (one from the top of my car, the second off of a boat), Assurian replaced them, bricked one, VZ replaced!
Car: Check!
Boat: Check!
Plane: Work in progress.
I won't have my pilot's license for another 6 months and I should be OK for a new replacement by then so I think I'm OK. It is weird, I've still got a mint condition Alltel StarTAC so old it can't be activated (on my kick ass Alltel plan that the VZ sales agents bring their co-workers over to gawk at) because it is not e911 compliant. I've never, EVER lost or broken a phone before now and I'm more sober than ever in my old age. I think I might just start enjoying myself more. Maybe I'll be more careful.Car: Check!

Also, I made a (semi) emergency text to home one day at 6,000 feet using my DINC; that was a banner moment I can tell ya!
OMG! That is so cool. And thank you for your service to this great nation!I'm a Navy Instructor Pilot, usually fly 6-8 flights per week, often 2x a day. Carry my DINC in my flight suit sleeve pocket where it fits perfectly. Have yet to have any mishaps while flying even while doing aerobatics or inverted flight. That's one reason I'll never get the DX or D2; my phone has to fit into my flight suit sleeve pocket or it will just rattle around in my leg pocket and probably break during said maneuvering.
