I just rooted my phone and tried installing the new b91e5f741f80.signed-mysid-IMM76Q-from-IMM76K.b91e5f74.zip

it said installation aborted and now all I get is GOOGLE and a lock at the bottom of the screen.

I can do volume +- Power and get into fast boot and get into recover mode. it shows clockworkmod Recovery v6.0.1.0

any suggestions?

OUCH!

Do you have stock recovery? If not, then this may be the reason it failed. Check out the root toolkit by wig to wipe you device and start over from scratch. I am at work or I would walk you through this.

A walk through would be great if you get a chance. This is my first time doing this and I felt I was very close

What time zone are you in. That way I know when we can sync up later over gtalk?

Is your phone not booting at all? Windows Mac or Linux?

Can you provide us a link to the exact file you were attempting to install? It will help point us in the right direction. Also, what recovery do you have installed...Clockwork, other?

I am on the road. As soon as I get back 3 pm pacific. I can post the details. Volum +- power works. Thank you.

When switching roms, you need to wipe data and both caches (format cache, wipe dalvik cache). A recovery backup is recommended too.

Neglecting to wipe data is a sure way to boot loop, but can easily be done after flashing (like now). :D

Well we really need to know what you flashed because maybe it was an update instead of a rom or like another mentioned, maybe it was a bad download. Ideally you need to get a good, working rom onto the sdcard partition, do a full wipe and then install. Do you have certain preferences for what rom you want to run?

Also, do you have the SDK installed by any chance?

I thought i was installing the latest rom for Verizon Galaxy Nexus released by Google.

the file name is 4a91da6c7020.signed-mysid-JRO03O-from-IMM76Q.4a91da6c.zip

At this point I will go with what you more experienced users recommend as this was my first time doing this. Thank you.

Ok, so I think you may have attempted to flash the system image rather than the rom. Without knowing where you got it from, that's my best guess based on the filename.

So do you have the sdk installed on your computer for adb and fastboot use?

I just installed SDK and this is what I see.
C:\Users\Frank\Downloads\sdk.jpg

yes i did a "make full backups with custom recovery" Create nandroid backup w/custom recovery

Cool. Well then go into the bootloader, then choose (using power button to select) the recovery option to go into Clockwork. Then use the volume keys to scroll down to backup and restore, then choose the option to restore. There should be one file there that includes the date you made the backup. Choose it, let it do it's restore, then reboot to system afterward.

the backup file is on my PC and not on my phone

You sure it's not on both? If you chose the option you mentioned:

Create nandroid backup w/custom recovery

that tells me you may have it housed on your phone as well. Check and see because that would be the easiest. Otherwise, perhaps there is a way to restore the nandroid via the tool. I don't know, I've never used the tool, I'm just looking at screenshots so I can understand what it has for options.

what path should i use to push the file onto the phone?

/system/sdcard/ ????

If you end up having to do it that way, use data/media/clockworkmod/backup

I'm not sure if I love that idea though because nandroids are typically housed within a folder. I'm not understanding how that would work.

You could push a working rom to data/media then flash it via Clockwork or I guess you could use the unroot/return to stock option and see if you can get back to a normally booting phone, then reroot again.
