[Verizon] Full throttle for ~45 min after booting

I've noticed a strange issue with my phone. This has occured every since I've put my phone on a JB ROM (full data/cache/Dalvik wipe). I'm on the BAMF ROM (started on 2.2, then 2.3.1 and now 2.3.5) and I even repeated a full wipe and reflash the first time I saw this behavior to see if that took care of the problem. The issue is that my phone's cpu runs at max allowable clock rate speed for about 45 minutes after any reboot. It burns about 15-20% of my battery during this period and then the phone behaves normally, unless I reboot again for some reason (not necessarily a flash) and then it'll run all out again for awhile. Does anyone know what's going on here?

Problem solved. MediaScannerService was running full on. I suspected that either my Pocket cache or the 1400 square miles of offline maps might have been the issue. I deleted all of these and no more extend-O-scan after boot. I reinstalled Pocket and re-downloaded everything and the scan-O-matic is still fast. The maps tiles must be treated as media or I had a corrupted media file in there somewhere. I'll re-download some areas again at some point and see what the deal is, unless someone knows the answer... Bueller? Bueller?
