Verizon G2 in hand

Second issue is the lack of response from the LG keyboard. Especially the space bar. Just meor is anyone else seeing the same?

Don't see any issue with the keyboard other than its cluttered. You can use other keyboards. I installed the Google keyboard, although haven't switched to it.

No screen flickering on mine. Yes, the 4G symbol always stays up, unless it connects to 3G.

BTW, take a look at the screen shot I posted. See the Notification area? The GPS symbol always stays up, even if not connected to GPS, although you can tell the difference. Just lets you know your location settings are set to "on". The other weird one is NFC enabled. I actually found a good guide. In apps, setup wizard has a list off all the notification icons and their meaning.
 
My only question for whether to get this variant or not is whether it has a removable back cover/battery or not. Can anyone shed some light on this?

No removal battery or back cover. However the battery life has been great so far so im not worried. 3,ooo mah should be fine.
 
Has anyone gotten this to tether without Verizon detection?

If I can't get this to tether, back to the store it goes, unfortunately.

I'd think it could be done with root now available. Ive had zero time to play, not even rooted yet. Should be able to get after it this week.
